Flybe and Loganair both fly to Manchester from Glasgow-International Airport. There are currently no flights to Manchester from Glasgow-Prestwick.
Terminal Information – Departing
Glasgow Airport has one terminal with everything you need to get your trip off to a good start. Kids can blow off some steam in the soft play area, while social media addicts can make the most of the 30 minutes free Wi-Fi. There's a good range of shops in the departure lounge. Pick up some electronic goods at Maplin, grab a souvenir for your favourite footie fan from the Celtic store, or treat yourself to a new outfit at The Fashion Place. There are also plenty of places to eat, drink and be merry. Enjoy a tasty sandwich at EAT, grab a beer and a burger at The Sandpiper, or have an Italian-American feast at Frankie & Benny's. If you want a little bit of extra luxury you can book into the UpperDeck lounge, where you can enjoy complimentary snacks and drinks. Try not to drink too heavily: flight staff have the right to refuse service to drunk and disorderly people.
Terminal Information – Arriving
Flights from Glasgow generally land at Terminal 3. Once you come through arrivals you will need to head to the airport travel hub, The Station. This is where public transport (including buses, trams and trains) leave for Manchester city centre. There are also some buses and trains to other parts of the North West. If you prefer to avoid public transport, you'll find the taxi rank just outside Terminal 3. It should cost you around £17.50* for the journey into the city centre. Practical Information
You don't need your passport to fly to Manchester, but you will need to bring some form of photographic ID. Your driving license will be fine. Try to arrive at the airport no later than 90 minutes before your flight is due to depart. Give yourself extra time if you want to check in a suitcase, or if you're travelling during the school holidays.
What to expect in Manchester
