Exeter Airport
Exeter Airport is a small airport with one terminal serving Exeter, Devon, 6 miles away. You should arrive at Exeter Airport at least two hours before your flight to Alicante is scheduled to depart. Flybe offer a selection of check-in options so you can choose the one that’s most convenient for you, these are online and airport check-in options as well as automatic email and mobile check-in. Bag drop desks are in the check-in hall if you have checked in online and need to drop off any hold luggage.
As a small airport the facilities in the departure lounge are limited. There’s just a World Duty Free store and a WHSmith as well as a café, restaurant and bar. You can upgrade to the premium lounge for £16 per person which offers complimentary snack foods, hot and cold drinks and Wi-FI.
Alicante Airport
Alicante Airport, 12km from Alicante serves Alicante and the neighbouring provinces of Murcia and Valencia which has led it to becoming one of Spain’s busiest airports.
Onward travel options from Alicante Airport to Alicante, and surrounding towns are limited to buses, taxis and car rental. There are three bus routes that serve the airport Route C-6, 1A and 1B. Route C-6 is the main bus into Alicante departing every 20 minutes throughout the day. A single ticket is €3.85. Route 1A runs to Torrellano and Elche, a single ticket costs €1.50 departing hourly during the week and every 2 hours at weekends, and Route 1B runs to Elche, Playa El Altet and Arenales del Sol, a single ticket costs €1.50 and services depart every 1-2 hours.
Car hire from Alicante is a popular option, as one of the easiest ways to get around the area beyond the main resorts and cities. Car hire desks are located in the Arrivals Hall.

What to expect in Alicante
Alicante has an enjoyable climate, the summers are hot and dry with very little rainfall and the winters are mild.
