Terminal Information

Exeter Airport

Exeter Airport is situated 6 miles to the east of Exeter, Devon in the village of Clyst Honiton. You will need to arrive at Exeter Airport at least 2 hours before the flight to Malaga is scheduled to depart, however if you have used the online check-in facilities offered by Flybe you will be able to save some time at the airport. If you’re travelling with hold luggage there are bag drop desks available, and if you have hand luggage only you can go straight to the security lanes once you arrive.

The airport is relatively small and has just one terminal with just World Duty Free and WHSmith in the departure lounge so it’s important to make sure you don’t forget any essentials. There is an Exeter Airport café, restaurant and bar also located in the lounge for any pre-flight meals or snacks. If you wish to upgrade your visit to the airport there is a premium lounge available, it is £16 per person for entry and you will be able to enjoy the complimentary food, drinks and free Wi-Fi.

Malaga Airport

Malaga Airport, also known as Malaga-Costa del Sol Airport is 8km to the south of Malaga. There are three terminals at Malaga Airport and Flybe flights from Exeter arrive into Terminal 3. This is the newest and most used terminal from which the majority of onward travel connections depart.

Taxis, bus, car hire and trains are all available from Malaga Airport to Malaga, these depart from the Transport Hub just outside of Terminal 3. Trains from Malaga Airport to Malaga depart approximately every 20 minutes with a journey time of just 10 minutes. A single fare is €1.75. The Airport Express bus service has a journey time of 15 minutes and a single fare is €3.

If you’re travelling beyond Malaga one of the easiest ways to get around is by hiring a car from the airport. There are car hire desks for Avis, Sixt and Hertz in the Arrivals Hall.

What to expect in Malaga
