Terminal Information – Departing
Edinburgh Airport has one terminal. Security and the departure lounge are upstairs, while check-in and bag-drop areas are downstairs. Once you go through security you'll find yourself in the airport's small but perfectly formed departure lounge. There's a great range of places to eat and drink, ranging from Wetherspoons to Thermidor's Seafood and Champagne Bar. Shops are similarly diverse, with high-street brands like Accessorize and Boots sitting side by side with high-end labels like Kurt Geiger and Jo Malone. As well as shops and bars the airport also has a spa, an art gallery, and two executive lounges (No.1 Traveller and Aspire). Every passenger is entitled to two hours of free Wi-Fi, and the ample seating means you never have to slump on the floor before your flight.
Terminal Information – Arriving
easyJet flights land at Munich Airport's Terminal 1. The airport is well connected to the city by public transport, with a train station within walking distance of the terminal. From here you can take suburban trains S1 and S8 to the city centre. You will need a four zone ticket which costs 10.80* ticket (about £7.60). Remember to validate the ticket by stamping it at the small box on the platform, otherwise you could end up with a fine. Buses are also available from just outside the terminal, and there's a taxi rank too. It takes about 40 minutes to reach the city centre in a taxi and the journey should cost about €50* (around £35). Munich Airport's Car Rental Centre is outside Terminal 1C. If you're planning on driving in Germany remember to compare car hire at Munich Airport to get the best deal.
Practical Information
You need a valid passport to fly to Munich from Edinburgh. We recommend arriving at the airport two hours before scheduled departure time.

Expect to pay no more than £35* for an average dinner for two, and about £2.50* for a pint of the local beer. Accommodation is scarce during Oktoberfest, so book your hotel as far in advance as possible.
