easyJet offer direct flights from Edinburgh to Geneva all year round. Flybe, Jet2 and Tui all offer seasonal flights to Geneva during the winter. Terminal Information – Departing
Edinburgh Airport has one terminal. You'll find the check-in and bag-drop desks on the ground floor of the building, while security is upstairs and through the food court. The departure lounge has everything you need for a relaxing pre-flight experience. There's plenty of seating, sockets for charging your appliances, and two hours of free Wi-Fi for every passenger. There's a spa if you fancy a quick treatment and an art gallery showcasing work by Scottish artists. Two executive lounges (Aspire and No.1 Traveller) offer a relaxing base away from the hustle and bustle. The airport also has a good range of shops, selling everything from designer goodies to travel essentials and souvenirs. There are plenty of places to grab a bite to eat. Choose from hearty pub grub, quick and tasty sandwiches, or treat yourself to a luxurious seafood lunch complete with champagne.
Terminal Information – Arriving
Geneva Airport only has one terminal. Public transport is well signposted. The easiest way to reach the city is by train, and you'll find the station underneath the arrivals hall. Six buses run between the airport and the city centre, so it's a good idea to know exactly where you're going. If you're not sure you can always use the airport's free Wi-Fi to double-check. Everyone who flies into Geneva is entitled to 80 minutes of free public transport. Pick up your Unireso ticket at the machine in baggage claim. What to expect in Geneva
Geneva is one hour ahead of Edinburgh and the currency is the Swiss Franc (CHF). Weather can be quite extreme. Summer temperatures tend to sit around 20°C, but during the winter the mercury drops to around 2°C. Geneva is notoriously expensive, so be prepared to travel on a budget.
