Terminal Information – Departing

From Hongqiao: All flights to Hong Kong depart from terminal 2. Most of the dining and shopping options are located before security.

From Pudong: China Eastern Airlines depart from terminal 1. Dragonair, Hong Kong Airlines, Juneyao Airlines, Spring Airlines and Cathay Pacific fly from terminal 2. Free Wi-Fi is available in both terminals, and both have phone charging stations. You'll find plenty of shops on the third floor of both terminals, selling everything from duty free and gifts to fast fashion and designer brands. Restaurants and cafes are also located here.

Terminal Information – Arriving

The airport arrival halls are located in terminal 1. There are plenty of places to grab a bite to eat once you arrive. We hope you're ready for your close up: Hong Kong Airport has huge plasma screens in the arrivals hall showing passengers who are coming through the buffer zone, so friends and family can prepare to welcome them home. Hong Kong Airport has good connections to the city centre. The Airport Express is the fastest: tickets cost $100* (just over £9). There's also a taxi rank immediately outside the terminal. You can expect to pay about $250-350* (about £22.60-£31.70) for a taxi downtown. Taxis are metered, so prices will vary depending on where exactly you're going. Another option is car hire from Hong Kong International Airport: remember to compare prices with Skyscanner.

Practical Information
