Airlines that fly from Bristol to Tenerife
Ryanair, easyJet, Thomas Cook Airlines and Thomson Airways all offer direct flights from Bristol to Tenerife-South. There are currently no direct flights from Bristol to Tenerife-North.
Terminal Information – Departing
Bristol Airport has one terminal equipped with everything you need for a relaxing pre-flight experience. There are two executive lounges (both run by Aspire), as well as a good range of shops and restaurants. The Canary Islands are outside the EU so you can enjoy duty free shopping at World Duty Free, Accessorize, Dixons Travel and JD Sports. There's also a WHSmith and a Superdrug, perfect for those last-minute holiday essentials. Hungry travellers are well served by takeaways (Starbucks, Burger King), restaurants (The Cabin, Dexters) and a pub which serves food (The Brunel Bar & Kitchen).
Terminal Information – Arriving
Car hire is popular at Tenerife-South Airport. A number of international brands operate from the airport and have desks in the arrivals hall. It's always wise to book your car hire in advance to get the best price. You can compare car hire at Tenerife South with Skyscanner.
There are plenty of buses if you prefer to take public transport. Bus 343 runs between the island's two airports, stopping at plenty of beach resorts along the way. Ticket prices are €3.70* (about £2.60) to Los Cristianos/Costa Adeje, €13.55* (about £9.60) to Puerto de la Cruz, and €9.70* (about £6.85) to Tenerife-North Airport. Bus 11 connects Tenerife-South with Santa Cruz, the island's capital. It also stops at a number of popular resorts. Tickets cost €3.20* (about £2.25) to Los Cristianos, €3.70* (about £2.60) to Costa Adeje, and €9.35* (about £6.60) to Santa Cruz. Route 450 serves the coast. It costs €3.20* (about £2.25) for a ticket to Los Cristianos and Playa de las Americas, €3.70* (about £2.60) to Costa Adeje and €2.45* (just under £1.75) to Granadilla.
There is also a taxi rank outside the terminal. Cabs are metered, and fares are lower from 6am to 10pm Monday-Friday.

What to expect in Tenerife
There is no time difference between the UK and Tenerife. The currency is the Euro (€). Tenerife is famous for its mild climate, and has been nicknamed 'the island of eternal spring'. It's a great destination for winter sun, with an average temperature of 17°C in January. It doesn't get too hot in summer, either, generally hovering around the 24°C mark.
Tenerife is nicknamed La Isla De La Eterna Primavera (the island of eternal spring) as the weather is mild all year round. Expect an average of 24°C during summer and 17°C during winter. Tenerife is cheaper than Bristol. You can expect to pay about £25* for a three course dinner for two and less than £1.50* for a pint of local beer.
