Airlines that fly from Birmingham to Tenerife
Monarch Airlines, Norwegian Air Shuttle, Ryanair, Thomas Cook Airlines and Tui all fly direct to Tenerife-South Airport from Birmingham. Currently no airlines offer direct flights to Tenerife-North.
Terminal Information – Departing
Birmingham Airport has one terminal. The departure lounge has plenty to keep you entertained, whether you want to shop, eat or relax.
The shops at the airport are ideal for grabbing those last minute holiday essentials. Pick up some sunscreen at Boots, some swanky designer sunglasses at Eye Love, or a new pair of Speedos at JD Sports. Other shops include World Duty Free, Dixons Travel and Superdry.
There's no need to fly on an empty stomach. Birmingham Airport has a range of eateries to suit every appetite. Choose from Deli Hub by Kebabish, Frankie & Benny's and Giraffe for a big slap-up meal or just enjoy some fast food at Costa, Caffe Nero and Burger King. If you fancy a pre-flight tipple you can choose between All Bar One, Wetherspoon's and the Blanc et Noir champagne bar.
Treat yourself to a manicure at Cloud 9 Nails or play pilot at Softek Sim. There are two executive lounges available at Birmingham Airport: Aspire and No.1 Traveller. Both offer unlimited Wi-Fi and complimentary snacks and drinks.
Terminal Information – Arriving
Tenerife-South Airport is well connected by public transport. Bus 343 runs between the airport and Tenerife-North, with stops at all of the island's top resorts. Ticket prices vary depending on destination. If you want to go all the way to Tenerife-North Airport then another option is bus 111 which travels to the island's capital, Santa Cruz. Another option is route 450, which serves the major beach resorts.
There are also plenty of options if you prefer private transport. Private airport transfers can be arranged, and some hotels may offer a free shuttle. If not, you'll find a a taxi rank outside the terminal. Bear in mind that prices are lower between 6am and 10pm on weekdays and Saturdays. Practical Information
You need a valid passport to fly from Birmingham to Tenerife. We recommend arriving at the airport at least two hours before your flight is due to depart. Try to give yourself extra time if you're planning on checking in a suitcase or if you're travelling during the school holidays.
