Terminal Information – Departing
Birmingham Airport has one terminal. There are plenty of shops, ranging from high street favourites to airport mainstays. If you're flying to Geneva you can make the most of tax free shopping. Birmingham Airport has a good range of luxury shops including World Duty Free, Hugo Boss, Eye Love, and Dixons Travel.
There's something for every appetite at Birmingham Airport, whether you fancy a big juicy burger or some coffee and cake. Restaurants include Deli Hub by Kebabish, Giraffe, Frankie & Benny's and The Meriden. Costa, Caffe Nero and Burger King satisfy fast food cravings. Terminal Information – Arriving
Geneva Airport has one terminal with good connections to the city. The train station is underground and is the fastest way to get into town. There are six public buses, and if you're not sure which one to get, you can use the airport's free Wi-Fi to check timetables. When you fly into Geneva you can take advantage of 80 minutes of free public transport. Pick up your Unireso ticket at the machine at baggage collection. Practical Information
You need a valid passport to fly from the UK to Switzerland. We recommend arriving at least 90 minutes before your flight is due to depart. Give yourself extra time to check in luggage. If you're flying during rush hour (first thing in the morning, early evening, at weekends and during school holidays) make sure you give yourself plenty of time to get through security.
What to expect in Geneva
The currency in Switzerland is the Swiss Franc. Geneva is more expensive than Birmingham.
