There are no direct flights from Aberdeen to Barcelona.

British Airways, Iberia, Easyjet, and Air France operate flights from Aberdeen to Barcelona with one connection. British Airways and Iberia stop in London Heathrow, Easyjet stop at London Gatwick Airport, KLM stop in Amsterdam and Air France fly via Charles de Gaulle Airport.

Aberdeen Airport

Passengers should arrive at Aberdeen Airport at least 2 hours before their scheduled flight departure time. British Airways, Iberia, KLM and Air France offer both check in at the airport and in advance. Easyjet passengers will need to check in in advance either online or via mobile. If you have checked in online and have hold luggage the bag drop typically closes 45 minutes before your flight depending on your airline.

There is just one terminal at Aberdeen Airport with the departures lounge having a small selection of shops and places to eat available. These are WH Smith, Boots, Dixons, Art at Aberdeen Airport, World Duty Free, The Globe Bar and Restaurant and Costa Coffee.

Free Wi-Fi access is available throughout the Aberdeen Airport terminal.

Barcelona-El Prat Airport

Barcelona-El Prat Airport has 2 terminals, British Airways, Air France, Iberia and KLM flights arrive into Terminal 1 and Easyjet flights arrive into Terminal 2C. A free shuttle bus service connects the terminals.

Barcelona-El Prat Airport has great onward travel connections into Barcelona city which is 12km away.  If you are hiring a car from Barcelona Airport the car hire desks are located in the arrivals halls of Terminal 1 and Terminal 2B which is a short walk from Terminal 2c. Car hire companies available include Europcar, Hertz and Avis.

The airport is served by both bus and train services. Trains are available every 30 minutes throughout the day from the station outside of Terminal 2 and run to Barcelona city centre. A typical journey will take around 27 minutes. Tickets can be purchased at the self-service machines at the airport.

There are lots of bus services departing from Terminal 1 and 2 travelling into Barcelona and the local area. The most direct are the Aerobus services which depart every 5-10 minutes and reach Barcelona city centre in 35 minutes with various stops on the way. A single ticket costs €5.90 and a return is €10.20 if you are returning within 15 days. Tickets can be purchased online in advance, from the ticket machines or from the driver.

If you are taking a taxi from the airport to Barcelona you can expect to pay around €30 for the 15 minute trip.
