Beautiful city on the lake with a lovely intact old town. Residents seem to consider it one of the best places in Germany to live.

The best thing about Konstanz is that it's a great walking city by a huge lake. The pedestrian areas are a great place to shop and walk along. Make sure to take a boat trip on the lake. My friends and I did a little paddle boat thing and I was brave (foolish) enough to dive in for a dip.
