Trendy, cosmopolitan, and thoroughly modern: Minsk is a vibrant city full of surprises. The capital of Belarus is peppered with great restaurants, art galleries and coffee bars, while the buzzing atmosphere and lively nightlife means that there’s never a dull moment. The city was mostly destroyed during WWII, and bold Soviet architecture makes up the majority of Minsk’s buildings and monuments. Surprisingly it’s not a major tourist destination. We recommend you brush up on your Russian, book a flight to Minsk, and discover the vibrant city for yourself.
