Airlines that fly from London to Verona

British Airways, easyJet, Monarch Airlines and Tui fly direct to Verona from Gatwick while Ryanair fly direct from Stansted.

Terminal Information – Departing

This is only a guideline. Always check your boarding pass for up-to-date terminal information.

From Gatwick: British Airways, easyJet and Tui all fly from the North Terminal. Monarch Airlines fly from the South Terminal. Gatwick's train station is in the South Terminal. If you're arriving by train and flying from the North Terminal you will need to take the free shuttle: it's well sign-posted inside the terminal. Both terminals have a great range of restaurants, shops, and airport lounges. Choose from high-end cuisine and high street restaurants, take advantage of your tax free discount in designer boutiques and duty-free stores, or hide away in a Regus Work Pod and send some last minute emails.

From Stansted: There is only one terminal at Stansted Airport. There are plenty of bars and restaurants to keep you feeling refreshed: whether you're in the mood for champagne and sushi, beer and a burger, or coffee and a cake. There's also a small but well formed range of fashion, beauty and electrical stores where you can exercise your tax-free discount. If you want to escape the general hubbub you can check into the Escape Lounge. Inside you can enjoy unlimited Wi-Fi and complimentary snacks and drinks.

Terminal Information – Arriving

The airport has a terminal dedicated to arrivals. There is an ATV shuttle bus which runs between the airport and Verona Porta Nuova train station in the city centre. Single tickets cost €6* (just over £4.20) and the journey takes around 20 minutes. You can either buy your ticket at the machine by the bus stop or directly from the driver. You need a valid passport to fly from London to Verona. We recommend arriving at the airport at least two hours before your flight is due to depart.

What to expect in Verona

Verona is one hour ahead of the UK and the currency is the Euro (€). Verona has fantastic weather during the summer, with an average July temperature of 24°C (vs London's 19°C). It can be very cold during winter, however: expect averages of 2°C in January (vs. 7°C in London). Prices in Verona are slightly lower than in London. Expect to pay about £35* for a three-course meal for two in an average restaurant, and less than £1* for a cappuccino.
