Terminal Information – Departing

Edinburgh Airport has one terminal. Check in desks and kiosks are located on the ground floor while security and the departure lounge are upstairs. The departure lounge is quite big, with a good range of shops to browse. There's a World Duty Free, a large Superdrug, a small Boots and a selection of high street shops including Accessorize, MAC Cosmetics and Dixon's Travel. There are also = shops selling Scottish souvenirs, in case you want to bring your friends in Wales a haggis. Food and drink options include grab 'n' go sandwich shops, a Wetherspoon's pub, and two seafood bars. The departure lounge also has a spa, an art gallery, and a car competition. Flybe customers can pay for lounge access with Aspire or No.1 Traveller. Both lounges have free Wi-Fi and a range of complimentary refreshments, perfect if you're visiting Cardiff on business and need a bit of peace to get on with work.

Terminal Information – Arriving

Cardiff Airport has one terminal for arrivals and departures. The airport is well connected by public transport. The fastest way into the city is the T9 Cardiff Airport Express Bus, which goes direct to the city centre and Cardiff Bay. Single tickets are £5* while return tickets are £8.* Another option is the 905 shuttle bus which goes to the Rhoose Rail Interchange: tickets cost £1.* From here you can take a train into the city centre. Book your train tickets in advance to get better fares. There's also a taxi rank outside the arrivals area. Alamo, National, Hertz, Enterprise and Europcar all have desks inside the terminal. Practical Information

We recommend arriving at the airport at least 90 minutes before your flight to Cardiff is scheduled to depart. You don't need a valid passport to fly on domestic routes within the UK. You will need to show some photographic ID at the boarding get: driving licenses, passports that have expired within the past two years, and NUS cards are a few acceptable examples.
