Terminal Information – Departing

Cardiff Airport has just one terminal. If you're hungry you can enjoy a cuppa and a bite before going through security at Caffi Cwtch. The departure lounge has two further places to enjoy something to eat: Caffe Ritazza and Echo Bar. There's a good range of shops at the airport if you want to indulge in tax free shopping or pick up some last-minute holiday bits and bobs. Nuance Tax and Duty Free, Fat Face, Superdry and Oakley are just a few of the names. The airport has its own executive lounge with complimentary refreshments and unlimited Wi-Fi. Prices start at £17.50*.

Terminal Information – Arriving

Alicante Airport has one terminal, with arrivals on one level and departures upstairs. There's a taxi rank immediately outside the arrivals area. The journey into Alicante costs €20-25 (about £14.75-£18.45) Taxi prices are higher at night (10pm-6am) and at the weekend. You'll find a bus stop upstairs, outside the departures area. Bus C-6 takes you to Alicante bus station, and costs €3.85* (about £2.85) for a single ticket. From the bus station you can find further transport to the major towns and resorts. Practical Information

You will need a valid passport to fly to Alicante from Cardiff. Try to arrive at least two hours before departure. Give yourself extra time to get through security if you're flying during the school holidays.

What to expect in Alicante
