Bristol Airport

Bristol Airport is 7 miles to the south of Bristol city centre and has one central terminal. Aer Lingus recommends that you arrive at Bristol Airport at least 2 hours and 30 minutes before your flight to Cork is scheduled to depart to allow enough time to check in and board, especially during busy periods. Aer Lingus offers check in at the airport which closes 45 minutes before your flight, online check in with printable boarding passes and mobile check in which stores your boarding pass on your device.

A selection of shops are available in the departures lounge at Bristol Airport, these are WH Smith, Accessorize, World Duty Free, Dixons and Superdrug. To make the most of the shopping opportunities available a collect on return service is available for bulky items which is free of charge. Food and drink can be found in Dexter’s, a family restaurant, Burger King, Costa Coffee and The Cabin bar.

Up to 30 minutes of free Wi-Fi is available whilst you’re in the departure lounge with additional time available for purchase.

Cork Airport

Cork Airport is Ireland’s second busiest airport serving the south west of the island in County Cork. The airport has one main terminal, from which you will find your onward travel options and an information desk.

Onward travel options from Cork Airport cover a number of the main towns and cities in the south of Ireland. Bus services operated by Bus Eireann and CityLink Ireland depart from the bus stop outside of the terminal and run to Cork, Kinsale, Kenmare (on a limited seasonal timetable), Limerick and Galway. If you would like to travel beyond Cork by train, the nearest train station to Cork Airport is Cork Kent Station in Cork which can be reached by bus or taxi.

A taxi rank is located outside of the airport and taxis into Cork cost approximately €20, depending on the number of passengers and the time of travel. Car hire from Cork Airport is available from car hire companies such as Avis, Budget and Enterprise, desks are located in the Arrivals Hall.

Practical Information

As Ireland is part of the Common Travel Area a passport is not required for flights to Cork. You will still need to provide a form of photographic ID such as a driving licence, you are advised to check with the airline that your ID is acceptable before your flight.
