Terminal Information – Departing

Bristol Airport has one terminal. The departure lounge is small but has a good range of shops and restaurants to keep you occupied. The USA is outside the EU so you can enjoy duty free shopping in World Duty Free, JD Sports, Dixons Travel, Superdrug and Boots. There's also a WHSmith, if you need some in-flight reading. Nobody likes to fly on an empty stomach. Fill up at Burger King, Dexter's or The Cabin. If you just fancy a coffee you can pick one up at Starbucks. Bristol Airport has two executive lounges, both run by Aspire. Both have unlimited Wi-Fi and complimentary snacks and drinks, but the Aspire Plus lounge has a more luxurious offering and is adults only.

Terminal Information – Arriving

Aer Lingus flights arrive at Terminal 5 if you've gone through security pre-clearance during your layover in Ireland, and Terminal 4 if not. KLM flights also land at Terminal 4. The airport's AirTrain makes it easy to travel between terminals, and also connects onto the NYC public transport system. Tickets cost $5* (about £3.30) and you need to pay $1* (about 65p) for the re-usable MetroCard. Buses are available from Terminal 5, and tend to serve local neighbourhoods in Queens and Brooklyn. New York City is massive, so if you're planning on taking the bus make sure you do your research first. Tickets cost $3* (about £2). Practical Information
