What to expect in Jersey

Jersey isn't part of the UK but there's no need to convert any currency, as the local currency is the Pound Sterling (£). Jersey has a milder climate than Birmingham. Summer temperatures are fairly similar, but during the winter Jersey is a few degrees warmer. As Jersey is an island, prices are quite high. You can expect to pay London prices for drinks in St Helier. Although the island does have public transport, the routes are quite limited. If you want to do a lot of exploring it's best to hire a car.
