Terminal Information
Birmingham Airport
Birmingham Airport has just one terminal so it is easy to navigate. The airport advises passengers to check-in at least 90 minutes before their scheduled flight departure time. However, different airlines open their desks at different times so it’s wise to check with your airline too.
The departures lounge at the airport offers a wide selection of eating, drinking and shopping options. There’s fast food at Burger King, classic pub grub at Wetherspoon’s and international flavours at Giraffe. For a little retail therapy, you can head to WHSmith or Boots or splash out at Pandora, Victoria’s Secret and Hugo Boss. There’s also a currency exchange and a duty free store.
If you fancy escaping the hustle and bustle of the departures lounge, you can choose between two premium lounges, available for a fee. Both provide free Wi-Fi, complimentary food and drink and views of the runway.
Ibiza Airport
Ibiza Airport is located 7km southwest of Ibiza Town. It has just one terminal and the arrivals hall is located on the ground floor. In the arrivals hall, passengers will find banks and cash machines, a number of shops and a bar restaurant.
There are numerous car hire companies operating from Ibiza Airport. Bigger names, like Hertz, Avis, Enterprise and Europcar, are based inside the airport terminal, with offices opening into both the baggage claim area and the arrivals hall. There are lots of cheaper options operating off site and providing a shuttle service from the airport car park to their nearest car rental centre.
Outside, you’ll find the official taxi rank. There’s a permanent fleet of 69 taxis servicing the airport throughout the year, with more in summer months. Taxi drivers can’t charge for taking suitcases but will charge an airport supplement of €1.80.
You can also choose to take a bus from the airport. Route 10 travels between the airport, Ibiza Town bus station, the port and San Jorge. It costs just €3.50 to travel from the airport to Ibiza Town, with buses running every 30 minutes out of season and every 20 minutes during peak summer season. There are other routes available, with buses travelling to San Jose, San Antonia, Es Canar and Santa Eularia.
