Terminal Information – Departing

Inverness Airport has one terminal with a small but sufficient range of facilities. There are two airside cafes and two souvenir shops. There's also a WHSmith if you need some light-reading or snacks for the 'plane. The airport has one executive lounge run by Servisair. Entry prices start at £17.99*. It's a great place to unwind before you fly, with unlimited Wi-Fi and a good selection of complimentary snacks and drinks. Note that under 12's aren't allowed in the lounge unless flying business class. If you have a bit of work to get on with you can check into The Exchange, the airport's exclusive business hub. There are plenty of desks, free Wi-Fi, and everything else you need to get a bit of work done.

Terminal Information – Arriving

Flights from Inverness generally land at Gatwick Airport's North Terminal. The airport's train station is in the South Terminal, so if you're planning on taking a train into the city you will need to catch the free inter-terminal shuttle first. The Gatwick Express offers the fastest route into the city, taking half an hour to reach London Victoria. Single tickets cost £19.90* if you buy them at the ticket office on the day, but are often cheaper if you reserve them in advance. Southern and Thameslink trains also run between the airport and the city. Tickets are cheaper but journey times are slower. If you prefer to take the bus you can hop on the local MetroBus, or reserve a seat on one of the coaches. National Express and easyBus both serve the airport. There's a taxi rank outside the airport, but this is quite an expensive way of travelling: expect to pay at least £90* for the journey into Central London. You don't need a passport to fly to London from Inverness.
