Terminal Information – Departing

Inverness Airport has one terminal. Wi-Fi is available throughout the terminal, and there are some pay-as-you-go computer terminals (in case you forget your phone or laptop). There are three places to eat, two of which are located before security. The departure lounge has one place to grab a bite: the Airside Cafe and Bar. Before security you'll find the D'Lish Landside Restaurant and Bar and The Meeting Place. Shops in the departure lounge include WH Smith, The Fly Nip whisky shop, and Jail at the Airport (an outpost of the popular Dornoch boutique). If you need to get on with a bit of work before your flight to Belfast you can check into The Exchange business hub, which has lots of desks and fast Wi-Fi. There's also a Servisair lounge, which costs £17.99* to enter.

Terminal Information – Arriving

Belfast City Airport is about three miles from the city centre. It's possible to take a bus, a taxi, or hire a car at Belfast City Airport. It doesn't take long to reach town, whichever transport option you choose. Car hire is available from Avis, Budget, Europcar and Hertz: all of which have desks in the arrivals area. Taxis are available from just outside the arrivals hall, and charge about £10* for the trip into downtown Belfast. Taxis are metered, so the price will depend on where you're going. Public transport is available with the Airport Express 600 service. The bus terminates at the Europa bus station in the city centre. Single tickets cost £2.50*.

Practical Information

You don't need a passport to fly from Inverness to Belfast. You will be asked to show some appropriate photographic identification at the departure gate. You can check Flybe's website for a full list of approved ID for domestic routes. Driving licenses, recently expired passports and NUS cards are among the accepted types. We recommend arriving at the airport at least an hour before your scheduled departure time.
