Hotels in Hyannis

Hotels in Hyannis make the perfect base for a Cape Cod getaway. The hub of Cape Cod, Hyannis is home to great shopping malls, a picturesque harbour, and the ferry terminals leading to the famous islands of Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket.  It’s also home to Barnstable Municipal Airport, the main airport serving Cape Cod.

As the largest commercial centre in the peninsula, Hyannis has plenty of attractions to keep its visitors entertained. Foodies will love indulging in the fresh local seafood. There are shacks serving up fresh fish, and plenty of high end restaurants serving the oysters, lobster, and other local goodies.

If you love the outdoors you’ll find plenty to keep you happy in Hyannis. There is a lot of gorgeous countryside to explore and an abundance of excellent beaches well within striking distance. If the weather is against you during your trip, there are lots of indoor activities to enjoy too. Hyannis has a thriving arts scene, which includes plenty of galleries, theatres, and museums. There’s a range of exhibitions throughout the year, so it’s worth checking the events calendar before you visit.

Hyannis plays host to two major annual events, the Pops by the Sea concert on the second Sunday of August and the Independence Day parade and fireworks on the 4th of July. Both events are popular and are well worth attending if you happen to be in town.

Most of the hotels in Cape Cod are only open during the high season, from April until October, so if you’re planning a trip to Hyannis it’s worth keeping this in mind. It’s also worth remembering that Cape Cod is a popular summer holiday spot, so hotel rooms can fill up quickly. It’s best to book as far in advance as possible to get the best rooms at the best prices.

There are lots of hotels in Hyannis to choose from, whether you’re looking for a boutique B&B for cosy weekender or a no-frills motel for a one-night stopover en route to Martha’s Vineyard.  You can find plenty of big brand and independent motels along the MA132 road, while charming locally owned hotels are more common in the centre of Hyannis. Whatever type of accommodation you’re looking for, it’s easy to find the perfect place to stay with Skyscanner.
