Two on street parking zones are in operation with red and green zones however it may be easier to find parking spaces in the car parks in the centre of Nantes near the train station.
Briere National Park
Enjoy the great outdoors at the Briere National Park, there is lots to discover with a model village, punt rides, the highest concentration of thatched houses in France and numerous remains of castles.
Nantes Airport to Briere National Park is a 1 hour, 75km drive via the N165. There are a number of opportunities to stop off in the park to enjoy the scenery. The main road through the park is high quality and easy to drive on but when you reach the smaller villages expect the roads to be narrow and twisty.
Known for the architecture which feels like it comes from Tuscany rather than France, Clisson is a quiet village south of Nantes. An annual heavy metal festival is held here each June.
Nantes Airport to Clisson is a 35km, 35 minute drive via the D137.
You will find small parking areas near the town but bear in mind streets in the centre are narrow and a one way system is in operation. During the annual festival traffic around the area can be heavy.
