It takes just over ten minutes to drive into the centre of Mackay from the airport. Most of the hotels in the area have guest parking, although finding somewhere safe to leave your car isn't too tricky in the city.

Sarina

An up and coming tourist area, the Sarina region is known for its sugar distilleries, golf courses, and beautiful beaches. The fishing is good, too.
