If you’re planning a trip to see the Forbidden City or experience the shopping wonderland of Hong Kong, Lufthansa has some great flight deals to China. And the airline’s entertainment, upgrade options and service are some of the best in the world – which is why it’s been voted Best Airline in Europe by passengers for two years running.
In partnership with Lufthansa.

Access six different destinations in China
Lufthansa flies direct to six destinations in China from their hubs of Frankfurt and Munich. Besides flying to the well-known cities of Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong, they also fly from the UK to the cities of Chengdu, Dalian, Guangzhou, Nanjing, Shenzhen, Taipei and many more. So it’s totally up to you where you want to start your China trip.
Return flights to Hong Kong from £399
For under £400, you can get to one of Asia’s most exciting cities. Head up the 552-metre-tall Victoria Peak to get a grand view of the forest of skyscrapers stretching down to Kowloon Bay, or head out on a day trip to Hong Kong Disneyland, which was built in 2005 to incorporate the rules of feng shui. And then there’s the siren neon lights of the Tsim Sha Tsui district, home to gigantic luxury shopping malls and countless restaurants.
Take masses of baggage
You needn’t worry about being too choosy in what you back on your Lufthansa flight to China: Economy passengers can stow a 23-kilogram suitcase in the hold and carry-on an additional 8-kilogram bag for absolutely free. And if you upgrade to Premium Economy, you can take TWO 23-kilogram bags. That’s not all though: Business Class customers get to take two pieces of 8-kilogram carry-on baggage and two 32-kilogram suitcases, and if you’re in First Class, you can stow THREE 32-kilogram bags. Time to go crazy with all the Chinese shopping gems you can find!

Fly to Shanghai for as little as £389 return
Fly to Shanghai for just a shade under £400 return and explore the world’s second-most populous city, with a population of a gobsmacking 24 million. Shanghai is where China’s past meets its space-age future – and nowhere gives a better impression of this than The Bund, a waterfront stretch of historical buildings just across the river from a forest of futuristic skyscrapers that could be straight out of a science-fiction movie. And you can get some fine views of this astonishing city by climbing The Pearl, a 468-metre-high TV tower made from 11 spheres. Lufthansa flights to Shanghai from numerous UK airports, including Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol and London.
No need to queue for check-in
There’s no need for tedious waiting in line when you check-in for a flight with Lufthansa – the airline has a range of hassle-free check-in options. You can check-in online and print out your boarding pass at home, or you can download your boarding pass to your smartphone using the Lufthansa app. Or if you prefer, you can scan your passport and credit card at one of the hundreds of Lufthansa check-in machines at airports worldwide, which will print your boarding pass and give you a number for a baggage counter where you can drop off your luggage. Nice and simple.
