Self caterers will enjoy a visit to the bi-weekly farmer’s market on Common Garden.

Lancaster boasts some big nightlife for such a small city. Thanks to the university, there are plenty of nightclubs and pubs to keep party animals entertained. For high-brow evenings, there’s always the Dukes Theatre: which offers plenty in the way of comedy and live performance. During the summer they take their performances outside for the UK’s largest walkabout theatre event.
