Carthage is an old Roman City located on the coastline of Tunisia. You can still see a lot of the old Roman ruins like the villas and Roman baths here.
Reminiscent of Rome, that is Carthage. I had a nice time strolling through the ruins and the small museum, and petting the stray kittens around. It's also great for photo ops since it's right by the water. II would suggest having a taxi driver take you around Carthage in order to see all it has to offer. The ruins are not all in one place, you'll need to drive around to view some.
Little remains of Carthage but what is left makes for a pleasant walk that sparks the imagination. Must have been incredible in its hey day. A must visit -- more for the ambience than the specific archaeological sights.
Carthage is one of the most important archeological sites in Africa and Tunis . It was founded 9 centuries BC .
