This little town located in the mountains of Mallorca was my favorite! You can take the Ferrocarril de Sóller from Palma (it is located at Placa d'Espanya where you can also catch other buses and trains, so very convenient) if you want to see some beautiful landscapes and in less than an hour you have arrived. There is also a tram from the town that takes you down to the Port of Soller. The town itself is adorable with a cathedral, narrow cobblestone streets, rustic looking buildings with green window shutters, cute stores where you can buy various local products, as well as restaurants and gelaterias. All of this beautifully framed by a mountain backdrop. It is a nice break from all the touristy big resort towns found along a lot of the coast of Mallorca that lack that authentic Spanish feeling. A definite must see!
One of my favorite places in Mallorca, the town is ver beautiful, the plaza is small though. You can go to Soller by train from Palma. The train ride takes like an hour, its a nice train ride. Visit the shops and I recommend Floristeria Sonia its in front of Mercat de Soller, its a very beautiful flower shop. If you go on summer also go to the Gellateria which is in the same area and try an ice cream!!! The Port of Soller is incredible , take the tram which takes like 15 min aprox . Nice view, just incredible place
A magical little town just 25 minutes from Palma by car, or an hour long train ride on the historic train from Plaza Espana in Palma (which is a must do...the views from the train are amazing). If you come by train you are greeted by the sweet smells of the surrounding orchards of flowers and fruit. The downtown area provides you with a giant cathedral overlooking a quaint plaza surrounded by restaurants and shops. A town that radiates cuteness and invites you to wander. I loved it. If you want to take the trolley to the coast it's only a few euros and leaves from the entrance to the historic train station.
Soller is one of my favorite towns in Mallorca, you can take a train from Palma de Mallorca that will take you to the Plaza of Soller In one hour. There are lot of shops, one is Floristeria Sonia is near the Plaza del Mercat, it is a very different Flower shop and beautiful flower shop, the owners are very nice. Next to it there is a store that sells empanadas, cocas, everything is delicious. If you want to go to Port of Soller take the tram wichi will take you to the beach in 15 minutes !!!
