Hotels in Seville

Seville is a city that oozes passion and romance. It’s the home of flamenco, bullfighting, and over a dozen operas. The city of ‘Carmen’, ‘Don Giovanni,’ and ‘The Barber of Seville’ is also home to some of the best tapas in Spain, as well as one of the most buzzing nightlife scenes. Whether you’re visiting for just a few days, or a little longer, with Skyscanner you can find the perfect hotel in Andalusia’s capital.

Even if your hotel is not bang smack in the city centre, you’ll be able to get around and see the main sights pretty easily. Like all modern cities, Seville has an excellent public transport infrastructure which includes buses, trams, and an underground. You can also charter a horse and carriage if you want to travel the city centre in style.

Seville is a great place to visit all year round, but during July and August the city does become a bit of a ghost town. Hotels tend to be a bit cheaper at this time of year, so if you don’t mind the heat it’s a good way to save money on your holiday. Our tip: look for hotels with a pool; Seville is over an hour’s drive from the nearest beach.

The extreme heat of the summer keeps most people inside, and evening life kicks off at around 9pm when the sun finally sets. Restaurant terraces come to life with groups of friends and young families relaxing over tapas, while swanky cocktail bars soon fill up with the young and trendy. Many of the hotels in the centre have roof terraces, some with swimming pools, some with bars, and some with both. These are a great place to enjoy the nightlife and admire the views across town.

Seville is an excellent city to explore by foot. Wander around the orange-blossom scented gardens of the Alcazar, take a tour of the cathedral (the third largest church in the world), or hire a rowing boat in Plaza de Espana. You can venture into town every night of the week and find something new going on: whether it’s live jazz in bohemian Alameda de Hercules, flamenco shows in Triana, or wandering the labarynthine streets of the Barrio Santa Cruz. There’s never a dull moment.
