Cuba is a fantastic place to visit for culture, climate, and charm, and Havana is its heart. Hotels in Havana cater to all needs and every budget, so you are sure to find what you are looking for with our hotel search. Whether you want to stay in the old colonial Spanish quarter, or the modern suburban districts, there will be a comfortable bed waiting for you at your hotel of choice.
Havana is overflowing with history, which can be seen in its stunning sites such as the Real Fuerza Fortress, and gorgeous architecture. Car hire in Havana allows you to explore all this at your own pace.
The Hotel Nacional de Cuba is not only a luxurious place to stay, but also a fantastic place to visit. It features a mix of styles which gives it its architectural eccentricity and flare. It once housed a decadent casino, but this was closed by Castro himself after the revolution. Even if you don’t get to stay in one of its fabulous rooms, make sure to come for a cup of tea in its elegant halls.
If that is out of your budget, one of the cheapest and most central places to stay is the Milagros Diez, which prides itself on safety and a warm welcome.
Of course, another of Havana’s charms is its pristine beach, often claimed to be the finest in the region. Pick a hotel right on the shorefront if you want unparalleled ocean views and just a short stroll to take a dip in the warm crystal waters.

The people, art, architecture, history is what you NEED to go to Havana for. It is truly a beautiful city
Havana is absolutely incredible. I recommend you avoid the government-owned restaurants and attractions. They are so much engaging (and yummy) than the family owned shops and restaurants. Stay in an Airbnb and engage with the locals! Bring some toiletries, i.e. toothpaste, deodorant, ben gay, yep you read that right, so you can give it to individuals or an institution that will insure it goes to the right people! Enjoy and GO TO CUBA!!
Havana is my favorite city of all time, and I’ve been to almost 20 countries. It’s extremely (extremely) affordable, and the people are so beautiful & kind. You can find good music anywhere, make lasting friends, and attempt to understand a totally different culture. One of the best parts (as a tourist) is the lack of internet. Don’t expect to have WiFi anywhere. I highly recommend a trip with one or two friends who are ready to have an adventure and meet the completely unique city of La Havana (you should speak Spanish to some extent!!)
Cuba is fun if you are one who can completely disconnect. If not i wouldn’t recommend because it feels like you are going back to 1950s. Cars are preserved, no Uber or lyft. I also do not recommend for solo travel for women. Overall though it’s a beautiful place.
