Day One
Hi everyone, @georgebturner here! I’m a 20-something wildlife photographer who LOVES the natural world. A lot. I’ve just returned from Kenya and I can’t wait to share my experiences with you in the coming days!
Day Two
We’ve all grown up listening to David Attenborough’s amazing narration over Big Cat hunts but seriously, nothing can prepare you for witnessing one in real life. My heart was pounding, all the while I was trying to focus on my settings and framing. Quite the adrenaline rush! Also, in case you’re wondering, I won’t spoil the ending 😉
Day Three
His name is Romeo, the heartbreaker of the Maasai Mara. He earned his name after miraculously avoiding any scars – like most other males – on his face from fighting, keeping his boy-ish good looks!
Day Four
How relaxed does this little leopard look? THAT is how you do a Sunday! Mother leopards hide their cubs from danger during the day, whilst they find some supper to bring back for the little ones 🙂
Day Five
Meet Lippy, a famous lion in the Maasai Mara. If you look at the side of his left lip, you’ll notice a ‘droop’. It’s thought he sustained an injury in adolescence and it healed this way!
Day Six
As I boy when I dreamt of the Maasai Mara, I imagined giraffes. Their majesty knows no heights (pun not intended 😉) and they represent everything I love about Africa.
Day Seven
Kenya has the best sunsets. Fact. This scene was straight out of the Lion King! Thanks so much to everyone for following along these past days. If you’re thinking about doing a safari or are generally interested in wildlife photography, just message me! Peace.
