Unsurprisingly, December is the most popular month to visit Western Australia, which also means that flight prices peak during that month. However, thanks to size of Western Australia, it’s always summer somewhere, which makes it a year-round holiday destination.

WA’s capital city of Perth is bathed in sunshine for an average of nine hours a day, with a total of 131 perfect blue-sky days every year. That officially makes it the sunniest capital city in Australia, with one of the most enviable outdoor lifestyles in the world.

Flights from Perth to London can also be quite the bargain if you consider costs per milage. The two major hubs are 8,991 miles apart and the average price for a return ticket was £836 in 2018 – this means a cost per mile of 9.2p, quite the deal if you compare it to other popular long-distance routes.

Great months to find a bargain is in our peak holiday season in July and August. This is the perfect time to swim with whale sharks and humpback whales at Ningaloo or explore the Kimberley. It’s all about planning and booking flights early on!

The climate of the area around Perth in the South is described as “Mediterranean”, which gets hot in summer (December to February) and warm, but rainy in winter (June to August). Therefore, also low-season months such as October, November, April or May should definitely be on your radar.
