Sitges is one of the closer beach towns on the coast north of Barcelona. It's a fantastic place both to stay for a few nights or take a day trip. A bit trendier than other beach areas.

The beauty of this Spanish city will blow you away. Sitges, only a 45 minute train ride from Barcelona, has something every traveler will love. Walking the cobblestone streets you will be able to feel its rich history. Looking out into the horizon, you will feel nothing but peace as you're captivated by the sheer beauty before you and the food will leave you wanting more, even when you're completely full! Highly recommend this gorgeous city!

Sitges is a coastal town in Spain's Catalonia region, southwest of Barcelona. Backed by the mountainous Parc Natural del Garraf, it's known for its Mediterranean beaches and seafront promenade lined with grand mansions. The compact old town and surrounding streets are filled with shops, restaurants and many gay bars and nightclubs. The Maricel Museum and Cau Ferrat Museum showcase Catalan and other Spanish art.

Sitges is an interesting local beach town south of Barcelona. Came here by train for 1/2 day trip and walked around, had lunch and went back.
