This small fishing village is known for it's special boats that are inevitably in every picture but all in all I was personally not very impressed with the town or beach as a whole.
Fell in LOVE with this small beach town. Everyone I met welcomed me into their village community, and I had some of the best nights salsa dancing, listening to music and of course surfing on the famous beach. It is very cheap but is slowly getting more touristy. The best experience you will have will be drinking with the locals, trying some ceviche and taking in all the beauty here. Me enamore este lugar. Conoci algunos de los mejor personas en mi vida, y la communidad fue increible. La playa aqui es tan hermosa y mejor con una chela y musica. :) Me recomiendo este lugar un millon veces, lo extrano!
This small surfer’s town is a lot more chilled out than its fellow Northern beach rival Mancora and attracts a more bohemian crowd as a result. The surf here is one of the biggest draws to the destination but the beaches are also pleasant enough for a few days of relaxation, just don’t expect pristine golden sand. Huanchaco is still primarily a fishing town, which means you have an excellent variety of seafood restaurants available along the beachfront.
A stunningly quaint internationally known surfer town perfect for relaxing and feeling apart of the community. Small enough that its easy to navigate but large enough that you will find plenty of things to do during the day and at night. Not far from historical Inca/Moche sites and just a short bus ride away from Trujillo.
