Cyprus is absolutely gorgeous. The climate is very similar to Southern California. Most of the people speak English, and everyone is very friendly. Limassol is in the tourist part of Cyprus, so there are many shops and restaurants. Overall, had a wonderful time on my trip when I was visiting.

What a sleepy little city. Mind you I didnt have the opportunity to go further than where I could walk reasonably however I do understand that there is more to this island country than this beach front property. There are sites to see like a little fort and numerous cobble stoned avenues to walk down and be bombarded by touristy bric brac that you have come to love. But if you look hard enough you can find out where locals like to eat, drink and maybe even shop. I know if anything, the walk will do you wonders and you'll be more than happy with any seafood found on your walking adventure. If you really want, its not that hard to leave all that behind and take in all the sun that you can take in. Theres more than enough to go around despite having to share it with a cruise ship of tourists. You'll be tan in no time.
