Porto Santo Airport (PXO) sits just over a mile northwest of the city of Porto Santo. It was the first airport to be built on the Madeira Islands. It’s a small airport, and doesn’t have many shops or restaurants. There is one book and magazine store, as well as a cafe.

Getting into Porto Santo

There’s no public transport available at the airport, however there is a taxi stand where you can catch a cab to any destination on the island. Another option is to hire a car. Three car rental companies currently operate from the airport, these are Rodavante, Five and Moinho.
