There’s an Avia garage on the D941 if you’re approaching the airport from Limoges. If you’re travelling south on the A20 there’s an Esso garage before the airport exit.
Driving around Limoges Airport
The airport is a five minute drive from the A20 auto-route, where you can go south towards Toulouse or north towards Paris. When you leave the airport you’ll find yourself on a busy motorway almost right away, so make sure you’re prepared and familiar with your rental car’s left-hand-drive controls. If you’re travelling into Limoges you can use the smaller D-roads.
Getting to your destination
The capital of the region makes the perfect base for discovering the Haute-Vienne. And with its Medieval buildings, quaint restaurants, and Renaissance enamels there’s plenty to see here too.
It takes about 15 minutes to drive into the centre of Limoges from the airport. Parking is widely available throughout the city, both free and pay and display. Lots of hotels in Limoges have guest parking, which is the best option if you’re staying in the city for a few nights.

It takes about 40 minutes to reach Confolens from Limoges Airport. There’s a free car park behind the tourist information centre, as well as a few parking bays dotted throughout the town. If you’re basing yourself in the town, choosing a hotel with car parking will make your life a lot easier.
Lively markets, quaint restaurants, and winding atmospheric streets make Brive-la-Gaillarde the perfect base for exploring the countryside of Correze.
It takes about an hour and ten minutes to drive to Brive-la-Gaillarde from Limoges Airport. There are lots of car parks on the outskirts of town. The city centre is made up of winding, narrow streets: you can take a chance with on-street parking but it’s usually easier to park outside and walk into the town.
