Zaragoza Airport (ZAZ) is the main passenger airport serving the city of Zaragoza, and also provides a base for the 15th Group of the Spanish Airport. One of the airport’s biggest claims to fame is its status as a contingency landing site for NASA’s Space Shuttle.
Airlines that fly to Zaragoza
Ryanair flies direct to Zaragoza from the UK. Air Europa and Volotea both fly to Zaragoza from the Canary and Balearic Islands, and Wizz Air operates flights to and from Romania.
Getting into Zaragoza
Frequent buses travel between the airport and the centre of Zaragoa, with a journey time of 20-30 minutes. Buses depart from the airport every half hour from Monday to Saturday, and hourly on Sundays. Single tickets cost €1.70* (about £1.30).
Taxis are available from outside the arrivals hall, with the average journey into town costing around €25* (about £19.60). Remember to ask the driver for an estimate before getting in the car to avoid any surprises when you reach your destination.
Car hire is also available at the airport courtesy of Avis, Europcar, Hertz, and Atesa. The drive into the city should take between 15 and 20 minutes via the N-125 sliproad.
