Tours Val de Loire Airport (TUF) is the main airport serving Tours and the surrounding area. It’s a small airport which started life during WWI, when it was a training centre for the French Air Force. It didn’t open to the public until the 1960’s, when the regional airline Touraine Air Transport headquartered itself there.

Getting into Tours

From the airport you can catch a bus. Tours is said to have one of the best bus services in France, and the airport shuttle is no exception. The bus arrives half an hour after each flight has landed and takes 20 minutes to bring you into town. Single tickets cost €6.50* (about £5.20).
