Discover Lorient

French ships once departed from Lorient in search of rare spices. Now it’s a major fishing port, and despite extensive damage during WWII, it’s held on to a few pretty buildings and is surrounded by the lovely beaches Brittany is famous for. Lorient really comes to life during August, when the Festival Interceltique de Lorient (Inter-Celtic Festival) takes place.
