Lilongwe International Airport (LLW), also known as Kamuzu International Airport, serves the city. It’s a small and modest airport, with a café bar and a few shops.

There are no direct flights from the UK to Lilongwe. Ethiopian Airlines and KLM both offer indirect flights, with one or more stops. 

Getting into Lilongwe

Taxis are available outside the terminal building, and the journey takes around 30-40 minutes. Expect to pay around MWK 4500 (about £6.50)* for the trip.
