Discover Kigali

Rwanda’s stylish capital city is the first stop off point for most people visiting the country, and definitely creates a pleasant first impression. With its wide boulevards, verdant parks, and swanky new buildings, Kigali does plenty to impress. It’s a clean, orderly city, with lots of great places to discover: and not all of them are in the city centre. Kigali is dotted with trendy coffee shops, great hotels, and fantastic restaurants. There’s a great buzz on the streets, both by day and by night. Even if you’re just passing through en route to Rwanda’s lush national parks, it’s well worth booking a few days in this cosmopolitan capital.

When to fly to Kigali

The dry season last from June until mid-September, and is generally considered the best time to visit the city.  The dry season is also your best bet if you’re heading out on a gorilla trek, as the ground is less slippery. December to February is also dry. From March to May and October to November the rain can be quite torrential. Rwanda is quite a wet country, so even during the dry seasons you should expect the odd shower.
