Southampton Airport is fairly small, with just one terminal. The departure lounge only has two shops: World Duty Free and WH Smith. There are three places to eat: The Globe Bar & Kitchen, Costa and The Olive Tree. The airport has free Wi-Fi for up to four hours, and a Priority Lounge is available for travellers who like to escape the hustle and bustle. Entry costs £15* per adult and includes complimentary food and drinks, newspapers, and high-speed internet.
Terminal Information – Arriving
Palma de Majorca Airport is the gateway to the island of Majorca, and is where most people visiting the island's famous resorts fly into.
· Two buses serve the airport: route 1 and route 21. Route 1 covers the main points of interest in Palma city centre, while route 21 stops at the main hotels on Palma Beach. Tickets on both services cost €3*.
· Car hire at Palma Airport is a great option if heading away from Palma to one of the resorts such as Alcudia, Santa Ponsa, Magaluf or Cala Millor. Hire cars are also great for exploring the whole island.
· Alternatively you can book a private transfer.
Practical Information
We recommend arriving at the airport no later than 90 minutes before departure. You need a valid passport to fly to Palma de Majorca from Southampton. Give yourself extra time if you're travelling during the school holidays, or if you're bringing along luggage that you wish to check into the hold.
