How to use our flight checker to track a particular flight:

If you need to use our flight tracker to monitor the live flight status for UK arrivals, Skyscanner’s flight checker lists arrivals by:

  • Airline

  • Flight number and shared codes

  • Scheduled and actual arrival times of each flight

  • Origin of travel

  • The status of the flight (scheduled, in-air, arrived or delayed)

  • Expected terminal (and in most cases, the gate too)

The flight departure board for UK airports can help you track a particular flight by:

  • Flight number and shared codes

  • Scheduled and actual departure times of each flight

  • Destination of travel

  • The status of the flight (scheduled, departed, in-air or delayed)

  • Expected terminal (and in most cases, the gate too)

You can even filter by the airline, time and origin too.

What do different flight statuses mean?

  • Arrived: The aircraft has reached its destination and passengers have been permitted to disembark the plane.

  • In-air: The aircraft is airborne.

  • Delayed: The original flight schedule has been pushed back. This applies to arrivals and departures as well as flights that are in-air, departed and scheduled.

  • Landed: The aircraft has landed and is making preparations for disembarkation.

  • Departed: The aircraft has left the departure gate.

  • Scheduled: The aircraft is not yet airborne but expected to make timings as per the airline’s schedule.

  • Expected: The aircraft is expected to reach the arrival airport at the given time

What does ‘No info available’ mean?

Don’t worry if there’s no information available on our live flight tracker. We try our best to pull it directly from each airline but sometimes this might not work properly. Try contacting the airline directly, or checking their website to see if you can get an update.

FAQs

If you see that your flight’s been cancelled, here are five essential steps to follow to get back on track.

This is one we hear a lot. So, we made a few guides to help you plan how early to get to the airport, and how to avoid airport queues. The general rule is two hours for short-haul and three hours for long-haul, but it’s always best to check with your specific airline. You can also speed up security by knowing what you can and can’t take on the plane, and what the rules are for checked-in bags with your airline too.

Every airport is different, and not all airport terminals are connected, so if you are at the wrong terminal, it’s best to check the specific airport’s website for transfer information. Some airports, like Gatwick have a free shuttle service between North and South terminal, while others, like Manchester airport's T1 and T3 are a couple of minute’s walk from each other.  However, others, like at Heathrow, require you to pay for public transport options or private taxi fares to travel between T4 or T5 to other terminals.
