Our commitment
to net zero
We’re on a journey to net zero.
Reaching net zero by 2045
At Skyscanner, we’re committed to reaching net zero by 2045 and being transparent about our emissions reduction goals.
We use the Greenhouse Gas (‘GHG’) Protocol to measure our corporate carbon footprint annually, helping us identify areas that need focused effort, such corporate travel, our offices and suppliers.
We’re working with Watershed, a leading climate agency, both to ensure our carbon footprint calculations are accurate and to set science-based targets for reduction to net zero.
Our Climate Action Plan lays out how we’ll start to take meaningful steps to get there and some of the steps we’ve already taken.

Our commitments
Glasgow Declaration
We signed the Glasgow Declaration for Climate Action in Tourism in 2021, committing Skyscanner to aligning with the Paris Agreement’s objectives of limiting global warming to well below 2°C above pre-industrial levels and pursuing efforts to limit warming to 1.5°C.
UN Sustainable Development Goals
Since Glasgow, we’ve linked the way we approach our sustainability efforts to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, including Affordable and Clean Energy, Sustainable Cities and Communities, and Climate Action.
SkyNRG Board Now
We’re a co-founding partner of the SkyNRG Board Now programme, helping businesses reduce their air travel emissions and, at the same time, contributing to the development of a new production facility for Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) – a crucial component of aviation’s decarbonisation roadmap.
Tech Zero
We joined Tech Zero – the climate action group for tech companies committed to fighting the climate crisis – helping us engage with climate-focused tech scale-ups and work together to build and share tools to empower consumers to make more sustainable choices.
