One of the former British hill station towns, Nuwara Eliya isn't as charming as nearby Ella but has many of the creature comforts, shops, and history of the area.
A nicely situated town high in the hills of Sri Lanka's tea country, Nuwara Eliya is good base to visit some tea estates or make a trip to World's End. OK, but not my favorite hill town.
