Great value and close to Via Verde

Stumbled upon this Pension after a short ride on the Via Verde turned into a prolonged epic.
Close to centre of town and straight up the hill from the estacion Olvera where the Via Verde commences. Plenty of parking alongside. Excellent wifi. Room 4 is good with spacious bathroom. Owner doesn't speak any English but helpful to us. 31 euros for the night suited us.

Fine for a night but wouldn't seek it out...

We stayed here for one night. As we came and went throughout the day & evening it felt like we were intruding as you need to walk by the family living/dining area.
The host was very nice but it was all a bit too much!
There is no breakfast option.

Cold and not so friendly

It was cold. Cold enough to see your breath in the room (we visited in January). The small heater in the room was having little effect on the temperature. We asked the lady who ran the place for a heater from one on the other rooms that were empty. She said no, maybe she didn't want to pay the electricity for it but whatever the case was the room remained cold. Bed was quite uncomfortable and tapes can be a little smelly when turned on.
We paid 30 Euro for a double bed with ensuite. Good value I think. It was reasonably clean. It must also be said that the building also has some personality with a tiled staircase. The location is also quite good.
But nothing can be really enjoyed if it is too cold and the staff aren't nice. We cut our stay short and check out after one night.

Era lo que necesitaba: un lugar bien situado y donde poder dormir tranquilo.

La pensión es humilde, con lo justo para tener tu ducha y cama, con una mesita que usé como escritorio para la tablet. Es una casa de familia que tiene arriba las habitaciones. Lo mejor es que está muy bien situada, en una plaza, con la terminal de autobús al lado, algunos bares y una pastelería que hará las delicias de los más dulces. La Vía Verde comienza muy cerca.

De vergüenza

Mis suegros,que son una pareja mayor nacidos en Olvera llamaron por teléfono para reservar una habitación para la noche del Sábado día 10 de Agosto,les dijeron que no había problema y se quedaba reservada
Al llegar les dicen que no tenían reserva hecha,que no habían llamado y que el hostal estaba completo,tuvieron que volverse sin poder disfrutar de su fin de semana.
Me parece de muy mala educación y poca profesionalidad dejar tirados a una pareja mayor que SI había llamado para realizar su reserva....
