I have to give it 5 stars as it is my fathers' home town and somewhere I've visited many times to see my relatives.

I visited Tullamore more by accident than as a part of the plan. I wasn't aware of Tullamore Whiskey, which I found out upon returning from my trip is quite famous. Check out the distillery and learn about Irish Whiskey, and take home a bottle or two of whiskey. You may also want to try honey mist, which is a whiskey liquor produced in Tullamore. I wouldn't recommend buying a bottle of it though, unless you really like cloyingly sweet liquors
