Perfect hospitality
Wonderful and clean rooms.Very polite staff and always available to help you out with anything!close to city center and to many shops where you can find anything you wish.Transportation is also very good and easy! The weather in Crete is always nice

Never book this hotel, we booked this hotel a year in advance and got ‘overbooked’ the rude hostess dragged us to a hotel 1.5 km from the beach, not mentioning anything and not making any excuses , we exploiteren her that we booked this hotel explicitly, for my mother in law had cancer and cant walk that far. We called her the next day and she just disconnected te telephone, the hostes is rude and we even wonder of this hotel really exists , of you realy want to be a holliday-victem, than you must absolutely book this hotel with its fake and rude hostess

Friendly and Relaxing
Oleandar apartments are set behind the Venus car hire shop in the centre of Platenes (check in/out completed in the shop) with an entrance to the left of the shop.
The beach is a two minute walk, a supermarket seconds away and of course plenty of restaurants on your doorstep.
Despite being smack in the middle of the action, it's really quiet and we didn't notice any traffic or taverna noise other than on one evening when live music was playing until about 11pm, even when out on the balcony.
They offer a transfer service from the airport using their own vehicles and we saved 30e compared to a taxi so worth enquiring before you book elsewhere.
Staff are friendly and checked early on to see if we needed anything and were happy with the room. Any questions about the local area, just ask.
We booked a studio and were shown to a large room with a considered layout including a dining table, sofa and a superb balcony. (Part sea view as per photos).
The balcony faces an ivy-clad wall and overlooks the pool (which was being renovated during our stay). The nearest hotel is far enough away to not be a nuisance. A handy canopy keeps the worst of the sun off. The chairs provided on the balcony are super comfy.
The shower is powerful and is based in what I can only describe as a mini bath. The bathroom isn't huge but it's adequate and fittings all work properly with decent water pressure.
The kitchen has a large work area and the hob is a portable unit that stays in the cupboard when not in use. A coffee machine and kettle are provided as is a fridge.
The room was given a mop and wipe down literally every day. Towels were changed every couple of days and the sheets every three days. This is one of the cleanest places I have stayed in on Crete.
On a side note, the cleaner spotted that the local ants were starting to access the balcony; they were addressed the same day and we didn't see any more during our stay.
My wife and I agreed that we had never been so relaxed at a hotel/apartment as we were here. This is a real gem.

Fantastic apartments and friendly staff
This was our 4th visit to Platanes and can honestly say that Oleander apartments were the best that we have stayed in.
We have previously stayed on the outskirts of the town so were a little apprehensive about staying so close to the main road but we needn't have been. We heard very little, if any, road traffic and there was only 1 night where we heard music from the local tavernas, having said that it only went on till 11pm and once balcony door was closed you couldn't hear anything.
Studio was very spacious and well laid out, ample storage space and worktop space in the kitchen. Cups, plates and cutlery were more than adequate, and a bonus was the filter coffee machine.
Bathroom was on the smaller size but was more than adequate and the water pressure from the shower was very good indeed.
Balcony was very big and a decent size, room cleaned/floor mopped every day, towels and bedding changed every couple of days.
Main entrance is just to the left hand side of Venus car hire/excursion shop, although you could walk through the shop if needed.
Amalia arranged our transfer to and from the airport through Venus car hire and we saved €30 each way, the driver was very good and safe, unlike previous taxi rides.
The location was fantastic being a 5 minute walk to the beach, 1 minute walk to supermarkets and tavernas.
We had such a relaxing time here and will definitely be staying at Oleander apartments on our return visit.

Excellent two week stay
Oleander apartments are in the heart of Platanes, Rethimno.Was the best choice over the years regarding afordable accomodation, pleasent staff.I rented a studio, which was clean , spacious, a little garden.I really enjoy my stay here and for sure I will return and I would recommand this place from the bottom of my heart
