Jet2 hand luggage allowance
Jet2 is known for its generous on board luggage allowance, which includes one personal item and one cabin bag free of charge. Your personal item can be anything from a backpack or purse to laptop bag or shopping bag, so long as it fits under the seat in front of you and measures 40 x 30 x 20cm or less. Your cabin bag must not exceed 56 x 45 x 25cm (including wheels and handles) and must weigh 10kg or less.

If you’re travelling on Jet2 with children they are not eligible for separate baggage. However, Jet2 does allow parents an extra 10kg allowance for infants, as well as up to two free items per child or infant. These extra items can include a car seat, baby carrier, booster seat, collapsible pram, or travel cot, and each must weight 32kg or less. As with all baggage, any extra items or weight beyond you allowance will be charged at a standard excess fee of £12/kg.

Packing tips for Jet2 hand luggage
Travel versions of larger items, such as irons and hairdryers, are ideal for maximising hand luggage space as they’re far less bulky than the ones you use at home. Before you pack, check what your accommodation has available as you may find there will be essential electronics and towels waiting for you when you arrive.
Miniature toiletries offer another great way to save space while packing. Decant your favourite perfumes, lotions and suncreams into 100ml bottles or tubs to take with you or buy the mini versions available on the high street. Alternatively, buy toiletries at the airport or when you reach your destination to avoid packing them altogether, but remember the cost of items can often be more expensive in popular or resort destinations.
Wear any bulkier items you’d like to take with you, such as hiking boots or a floppy sunhat, as these will take up valuable space in your cabin bag. Roll clothes instead of folding them and tuck small items into any shoes you’re packing. This will free up room for other items, including any souvenirs you might be bringing home from your trip.

Jet2 checked baggage allowance
Jet2 allows you to book up to three 22kg suitcases per passenger. The exact cost can vary depending on your destination and booking method, but it is always cheapest to purchase checked luggage online in advance and always most expensive at the airport. If you’ve booked your holiday through Jet2holidays then each member of your party is allowed a 22kg checked bag (excluding infants) free of charge.
Remember that certain items are also prohibited in checked baggage. These include lithium batteries not clearly labelled with watt-hour ratings and certain recreational vehicles powered by lithium batteries – such as balance wheels, air wheels, solo wheels and hoverboards. You also can’t pack ammunition, fireworks, smoke-generating canisters, and anything else that could cause a threat to the plane and its passengers.
